The Skinny:

Hinrich is a combo guard who flourishes in an up-tempo game and is a winner all the way. He’s undersized for shooting guard in the NBA, but can play the point and it wouldn’t surprise if he becomes a good shooting guard.

He has good range on his jump shot, though at times he gets a bit streaky with it, is excellent leading and finishing the fast break, makes solid decisions with the ball and won’t hurt a team with turnovers. His style of play as a warrior shows when he gets loose balls, rebounds, and keeps playing after getting knocked around, as he’s not afraid of physical play. He’s deceptively quick and runs the floor about as well as any guard in the draft.

Hinrich should be a lottery pick, and will give a team instant leadership.

The Wizards need help essentially everywhere, especially now that MJ is 99.9999 percent gone. They especially need a point guard who can score and distribute, since Larry Hughes is clearly not the answer. Hinrich couldn’t make more sense. Many folks forget that Hinrich ran the show before Aaron Miles came along, and that’s the position he’ll play at the next level. He can shoot it too.
