2002-03 Stats:

Kendrick Perkins

The Skinny:

This 285-pound big man is a load in the post. He scores on the post almost with ease at times, largely using a jump hook, rebounds well, and can block shots. He doesn’t run the floor exceedingly well, but he moves well in the post. Perkins was once the consensus no. 2 player in the high school class of 2003 behind LeBron James, but he did not improve as much as some of his peers after his sophomore year as he put on weight, and thus he dropped in many rankings.

Perkins projects as a borderline first round pick. With some college seasoning and some improvement in his conditioning, he could be a good first round pick down the line.
