Hartford: Leibovitz Switches From Owls’ Nest to Hawks’

Leibovitz Switches From Owls’ Nest to Hawks’: Former Temple assistant coach Dan Leibovitz will become Hartford’s next head coach. Leibovitz was in the market for a new job after Temple coach John Chaney retired after last season and the Owls hired Penn coach Fran Dunphy. Leibovitz had been an assistant under Chaney for 10 years. He takes over for Larry Harrison, the recently deposed America East coach of the year. He led the Hawks to a 13-15 record, which wasn’t a big enough improvement to save his job. [4/17/06]
