White Hangs up the Sneakers: Purdue junior forward Marcus White will not play college basketball again after announcing that he will take a medical hardship during his senior season. A former Connecticut transfer, White has had back problems that plagued him this past season. Despite the pain, he averaged 10.1 points and four rebounds per game for the Boilermakers. He will not risk further injury while continuing to take classes under scholarship. [4/19/06]
