Manhattan: Jaspers Grab Pitt Assistant

Jaspers Grab Pitt Assistant: Manhattan has chosen Pittsburgh assistant coach Barry Rohrssen to be the Jaspers’ next head coach. Rohrssen has worked at Pitt under Jamie Dixon and Ben Howland for the past seven seasons. He has helped make the Panthers one of the best programs in the Big East. Dixon and his staff have deep recruiting ties to the New York City area, and Rohrssen hails from Brooklyn. Those ties should benefit Manhattan, one of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference’s stronger programs. [4/23/06]
