Clemson: Hammonds Plays With Broken Wrist

Hammonds Plays With Broken Wrist: Clemson senior guard Cliff Hammonds played Thursday at Georgia Tech despite suffering a broken wrist injury on his non-shooting hand during the Tigers’ 73-70 win at Maryland Sunday night. The second-leading scorer on the team at 11.9 points per game wore a cast during practice. However, coach Oliver Purnell said he didn’t decide whether to play him or not until the last minute. Hammonds has never missed a game at Clemson, playing in 129 consecutive matches. He finished with 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting in the 80-75 loss.
