Cal-State Northridge: 2 Matadors and Coach’s Son Arrested

Cal State Northridge senior guard Deon Tresvant and freshman guard Dallas Rutherford were arrested, in addition to the son of coach Bobby Braswell, and charged with commercial burglary and grand theft. The coach’s son, Jeffery, logged on to a register at the Best Buy where he works and allowed three friends, including Tresvant and Rutherford, to leave the store with about $6,600 worth of unpaid merchandise. The two players are charged specifically with one count of felony second-degree commercial burglary and grand theft over $400. Jeffery Braswell faces one charge of second degree commercial burglary and three felony counts of grand theft over $400. Tresvant averages 13.3 points and 2.2 rebounds per game for the Matadors, and Rutherford averages 0.8 points per game.
