Duke: Blue Devils Lose Star Recruit to Wrist Injury

Duke freshman forward Mason Plumlee injured his left wrist in practice Nov. 11 and is out indefinitely while recovering, according to a university press release.

Plumlee is a McDonald’s All-American and the top recruit in coach Mike Krzyzewski’s highly regarded class of 2009. The Blue Devils will run their offense through the frontcourt more than they have in recent years, and Plumlee’s loss will hurt the potency of the team’s offense.

In two exhibition games, Plumlee averaged 12.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
