Northwestern’s Kevin Coble got a second opinion, and he’s calling it a season.

According to a university release, the forward met with a second foot specialist Monday to see what could be done about a left foot injury he sustained Nov. 10, and the prognosis wasn’t good. Coble, a senior, will have season-ending surgery on a date yet to be determined.

Coble averaged 15.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game and was named to the All-Big Ten’s second team last season. He has led the Wildcats in both scoring and rebounding for the past three seasons.

Northwestern hosts No. 11 Butler today at 7 p.m.
