Talking Hoops With Ted Sarandis – March 18, 2017

Welcome to the latest edition of Talking Hoops With Ted Sarandis. The first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament are in the books, and we have a number of thoughts on what has transpired thus far.

We begin with the most recent games, the first round games played on Friday. Two of the most impressive performances by a team in the first round came on Friday night as South Carolina pulled away from Marquette and Michigan State took care of Miami in a game many felt would be a great first round matchup. We go in some depth on both.

After that, we talk about some of the wins by lower seeds, including more by No. 11 seeds and Wichita State’s win over Dayton. All of that leads us to look ahead to the next round, and we go in some detail there.

In addition, the coaching carousel comes up since that is in the news, especially with NC State hiring their new head coach as the second of a couple of moves that happened quickly. We also talk about the opening at Indiana now that Tom Crean is out.

We hope you enjoy this podcast, and be sure to check out College Basketball Tonight in a couple of days as well, where we look back on the opening weekend and ahead to the second weekend.
