College Basketball Tonight – March 17, 2019

Welcome to College Basketball Tonight, our comprehensive breakdown of the 2019 NCAA Tournament as the field of 68 has been revealed. We’re pleased to bring you another postseason of the show.

In our first segment, former college basketball coach Mike Jarvis joins us to talk a little about his new book, The Seven C’s of Leadership, as well as the NCAA Tournament field. Besides offering his thoughts on the teams and matchups, Jarvis shares from his experience what is happening with teams right now as they learn their draw and prepare to travel and then play in the NCAA Tournament.

Eastern Kentucky head coach A.W. Hamilton joins us in the second segment. Hamilton just completed his first season at the helm of the Richmond, Kentucky school, and he had the chance to coach a player who left a mark on the Ohio Valley Conference history in Nick Mayo. He talks a little about coaching Mayo, whose career we recently profiled in a feature, and also offers perspective on two NCAA Tournament teams as tournament champion Murray State was joined by Belmont as an at-large selection. Eastern Kentucky played both teams twice this season, giving him plenty to draw on.

In our last segment, we go over the fields for the NIT and CBI, while still awaiting the announcement of the complete field for the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT). The NIT was highlighted by five Big East schools and the four top seeds being the first four out of the NCAA Tournament, and with DePaul in the CBI, every Big East team is in a postseason tournament.

We hope you enjoy the show and share it with your college basketball fans, and be sure to come back next week as we break down the first rounds of action with more great guests.
