North Carolina was dominant at times in the 2016-17 season, maybe more so than any other team in the country. That was not the case in the NCAA Tournament, but it was still good enough for the Tar Heels to complete what they couldn’t the year before.
In a championship game that was ragged almost the whole way-though for differing reasons, especially depending on the half-Carolina outlasted Gonzaga 71-65 Monday night for its sixth national title in school history and the third under Roy Williams since his arrival in 2003-04.
