It’s been an interesting first season for Juwan Howard at his alma mater, with a lot happening from the beginning to Sunday’s blowout of Indiana. Plus a former Wolverine head coach appears to not be long for his current job, the Aztecs continue to win, and a Husky goes down early to the chagrin of many, including an opposing player.
As we near the end of May, we focus on a big move in the coaching ranks, one that had the potential to set a series of coaching dominoes in motion but did not. We also look at some big news for a blueblood program and a story that shows that even media relations is not immune from puzzling moves this off-season.
Two teams entered the day undefeated and remain that way, and both are led by great coaches and there is some irony in who they are. Plus a busy day for the Big Ten, another conference seems tough to figure out right now, and an important big man is done for the year.
