Horizon League Quarterfinals – Detroit Frustrates Green Bay, Milwaukee Takes Down Cleveland State

For Detroit it was part big man in the middle and part penetrating guards and part taking Green Bay’s leading scorer out of his game. All of this added up to a 62-53 win for the Titans in the Horizon League Championship quarter-final game. The nightcap was similar to the first game only this time it was Milwaukee scoring the first basketball and going wire-to-wire to win 82-75 over Cleveland State.

Virginia’s Season Not Ending How It Began

Virginia’s first season under Tony Bennett is just ending about the opposite of how it began. The Cavaliers at one point won eight in a row and stood 12-4 early in ACC play, and were the last team in the ACC to suffer their first conference loss. But as they head into their regular season finale, they have an eight-game losing streak and don’t look to be getting better.

Jeremy Lin Goes Out a Winner, Like He Wanted

All Jeremy Lin ever wanted was to win. He wanted his team to be a winner and get the attention it deserved. On Saturday night, the senior guard certainly got that as he walked off the court at Lavietes Pavilion for the last time, as he helped lead his team to their 20th win of the season, a record for the program.
