Plus the Red Storm just can’t pull out wins in conference, one mid-major league race gets a little more interesting, and some clarity comes on a bizarre incident from a night earlier.

The Pac-12 is much better this year, but the competitiveness hasn’t changed and the standings are but one reflection of that. Plus a big day of action, one player apparently bit off more than he can chew, and a couple of injuries will keep players out until at least late in the season.
Saturday looked like it would be a big day with a lot of important games, and that ended up being the case. We look back on many of the important games from the day right here.
The team right behind Dayton in the Atlantic 10 is the Rams, as predicted, but not the Rams that were predicted to be there. Plus Ivy League play begins in earnest with a couple of streaks snapped in one game, a couple of league leaders win, and a Tar Heel may be set to return.
