In a season where even the best teams are very capable of losing games to teams they shouldn’t, one team almost did twice and then won a tournament in impressive fashion. Plus a tournament runner-up is without a few players, a few helpers were handed out without scoring, and a few other results as the tournaments finish up.
Oklahoma State continued what has been a pretty good week for the Big 12 in winning tournaments, though they are being chased. Plus a great week for a first-year coach, the Blue Demons remain undefeated, and a late game was as good as advertised.
Michigan got the first big win under its new head coach, and now has a chance for another one right behind it. Plus the Orlando Invitational gets going, lots of drama in a tournament out west, and a cool story coming out of the big upset in Durham a couple of nights earlier.
One of the last games of the night was all we could hope for and more, and also leaves one hopeful about future matchups between the two teams. Plus more tournaments get going, a straw breaks the camel’s back with transfer waivers, and a Wildcat is gone from the program.
The result of a big in-state rivalry is ripe for over-reacting on either side, and we look at how one might do that as well as how we should read the result. Plus another good win by a conference trying to bounce back, a Spartan gamely battles after tragedy, and a very rough start down south.
The Pac-12 has had a couple of seasons to forget recently, and if it is going to bounce back, Washington is likely to lead the way. The Huskies got a boost on Friday that should only help, plus we look at a few more conferences.

The 2017-18 Pac-12 season was one to forget, but the conference tried to outdo itself a year later. The ending was at least a little better this time around, but questions remain going forward.
