The Pac-12 appears to be hyper-competitive, but after its schools’ non-conference showing, is that a good thing? Plus two teams stand out early in the Horizon, surprising results in two other leagues, and a couple of Big Ten teams take personnel hits.
Bucknell continues to rule the Patriot League, and that doesn’t seem ready to change very soon.
Now we know what’s behind a big mystery of the college season. Plus a few games were dandies, including some overtime battles, a Hoosier goes down again, and a couple of surprises in the east.
Though the Patriot League slipped a bit in 2015-16, it was still as competitive as ever. The league tournament then had quite a bit of history made to cap it all off.
The Patriot League remains in a good place, as it had a highly-competitive race as expected and should see more of the same next season as well.
Coming off an outstanding season, the Atlantic 10 has flown under the radar this year. The league won’t be getting six teams in the NCAA Tournament again, but hitting the stretch run, no conference is more intriguing at the top than the A-10.
We should know who the Pac-12 Coach of the Year will be after Sunday. Plus a team can’t go to their locker room, an expected showdown may have lost its luster, and a Cardinal is long gone with the regular season almost over.

The Patriot League’s first season with ten programs was a highly successful one, but there is plenty of reason to believe there are even better days right around the corner.
Matt Langel’s work continues this season, and the Raiders look like they’re making strides albeit at a time when the league as a whole is on a good upswing. They have some young talent that needs to grow to move up in the standings.
