If you haven’t seen any BYU games yet this year, you should. In fact, you should see as many of them as possible. The end of Kyle Collinsworth’s college career is near, and when it’s finished college basketball will lose one of the truly unique players it has had in many years.
The snowstorm hitting much of the east coast is affecting college basketball, including on a very busy Saturday. A team gets stuck going home, and a couple of conference races had important games on Friday.
Though still a week from Thanksgiving Day, the holiday tournament season really began yesterday, and the results from the first two events were a good sampling of the first week of the 2015-16 season as a whole.
We continue our look at our favorite games for every day of the season, our ultimate dream road trip through an entire college basketball season. We started on Monday with November, continued with December on Tuesday, and today we move into January:
Presenting our list of 20 teams to watch for 2015-16. Some aare Final Four favorites. Some are rebuilding powers. Some are (or should be) trendy sleeper, Cinderella, you-name-it picks that you may not know much about now, but may be hearing from in March. All are worth keeping an eye on.
The America East had a very familiar look at the top this season, in more ways than one. Will that change in the foreseeable future?
Unwatchable? In a state of crisis? We challenge anyone who watched even some of the college basketball action on Saturday to come to those conclusions.
Stony Brook lost another heart-breaker in the America East championship game. It doesn’t take away from what Steve Pikiell has built, but he’ll be answering more questions once again because of how we too often measure programs.

If there’s one thing that the new configuration of the Big East has taught us, it’s that memories of the old Big East are always going to be around the corner, even at times when we’re thoroughly enjoying the league in the present.
