December 22, 2005 Newswire No Comments

Williams to Rejoin Eagles: Boston College sophomore Sean Williams is now eligible to return to the team, according to a statement released by the athletic department. Williams was cleared to return to campus by a judge on Monday, and his academic information for classes he took at the University of Houston has arrived. With that satisfied, the university has said that he has fulfilled all terms of the school and team suspension. Williams could be in uniform tonight, when the Eagles host Harvard.

Update: In an afternoon conference call, athletic director Gene DeFilippo said Williams should be in uniform for tonight’s game against Harvard. Whether or not he plays will be up to head coach Al Skinner. Williams has not practiced with the team, having had only a walk-through to this point. [12/22/05]
