Yellow Jacket Leaves the Hive: Georgia Tech sophomore guard Zam Fredrick will transfer to another school with two remaining years of eligibility. Fredrick averaged 10.6 points and 3.9 assists per game in his second campaign. But he frequently struggled when running the point, which contributed to the Yellow Jackets’ disappointing finish near the bottom of the ACC. At 6-foot, Fredrick is undersized for a shooting guard. And with high school point guard Javaris Crittenton scheduled to arrive in Atlanta next fall, Fredrick figured — probably correctly — that his playing time would only decrease next season. [4/21/06]
