Mountain West Finals Preview

(4) UNLV vs. (3) Utah
It will be Utah and UNLV. Two teams with big names, but whom have had a rough go of it at times this season. This will be the third consecutive trip to the MWC Final for the Rebs (they lost the past two). Blankson will need to dominate down low for UNLV. If paced by Nick Jacobson’s outside shooting, Utah has a major chance of grabbing the at large bid. This should be one heck of a final game.

Prediction: UNLV 69 – Utah 63

Looking towards the NCAA’s, obviously, the winner of this game will have the automatic bid. As for any other teams getting in, it is my belief that BYU will NOT get in after losing in the semis. As for Air Force: they have been the darlings of the MWC, going from last to first in just one season. Most regular season, upper echelon conference winners go dancing. With some major upsets throughout the nation, the Falcons are definitely on the bubble. Cross your fingers, Coach Scott, you’ll need some luck and things to break your way.
