Former Cardinal Arrested: Fomer Louisville guard Carlos Hurt, 21, was arrested Saturday after a rowdy apartment party resulted in the rarrests of five men on Louisville’s east side. According to Louisville Police, Hurt, who was intoxicated, and four accomplices allegedly turned a pool party at an apartment complex by kicking in doors, waving a gun, and jumping on balconies and attempted break-ins. Hurt, a former McDonald’s All-American recruited by Denny Crum, was cut from the Cardinal squad in March 2002 (his freshman season) by new coach Rick Pitino for violating team rules. Hurt rebounded and played for NAIA Robert Morris College of Illinois last season, leading the Eagles with 15.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
