More Spartan Staff News: The Spartans from the West Coast – San Jose State to be exact – also have news from the sidelines. New coach George Nessman announced the hiring of Brent Davis, Donald Williams and Derrick Allen as assistant coaches and Andy Borman as director of basketball operations. Davis spent the last three seasons at Bakersfield College, including one year as a head coach. Williams returns to the Spartans, for whom he was an assistant in 2003 and 2004. Allen was director of basketball operations at UC-Santa Barbara last season. And Borman was the assistant director of player development at California last season. [5/4/05]
