Delta Devils’ Stribling Retires: Mississippi Valley State head coach Lafayette Stribling has announced his retirement. After coaching in the high school ranks for 26 years, Stribling took over the Delta Devils program in 1983, and amassed a 315-207 record in 22 seasons. He took the team to three NCAA Tournaments. A university spokesman stated that a replacement should be hired by mid-June. [5/23/05]
