College of Charleston: Like Father, Like Son

Like Father, Like Son: Following in his father’s footsteps, Richard Pitino has been hired at the College of Charleston as administrative assistant. A graduate of Providence College this past May, he was a basketball manager with the Friars for the past two seasons, having spent his first two years as an assistant coach at St. Andrew’s School in Barrington, R.I. Head coach Tom Herrion also announced that Mark Byington, who spent two years at the school before becoming director of basketball operations at Virginia, will return to the staff as an assistant coach.
