NCAA: Akron, San Diego, and Tennessee Meet Certification

NCAA Certifies Three: The NCAA yesterday announced that three schools: Akron, San Diego, and Tennessee, had met requirements for the NCAA’s second cycle of certification. The process ensures athletics programs are working to ensure integrity and improving their departments, primarily by reviewing governance and compliance, academic integrity, and student-athlete welfare. The second cycle is a 10-year duration, and may be requested following an infractions investigation, but is not related to the NCAA’s enforcement program, which investigates possible violations.
