Ball State: Leading Returning Scorer Out For Season

Bad News for Ball State: Junior guard Peyton Stovall tore his right ACL in Ball State’s 71-50 win over Wright State on November 26th. The injury was similar to the one he suffered earlier this year on March 7th in the MAC tournament against Bowling Green. Stovall was the leading returning scorer in the MAC with 16.7 ppg and was named preseason All-MAC. In two games this season, Stovall was averaging 15 points per game. With surgery coming later this month, head coach Tim Buckley is optimistic that Stovall will be healthy in time for next season. [12/01/05]
