Duquesne: Shoulder Injury Doesn’t Slow Duquesne Star, Yet

Shoulder Injury Doesn’t Slow Duquesne Star, Yet: Duquesne junior forward Kieron Achara hurt his shoulder several weeks ago in a scrimmage against Cleveland State, and it could force him to miss some time. He had an MRI last week to determine the source of pain in his shoulder. Doctors will let him know if he needs to have immediate surgery to repair a torn labrum or whether he can play through the pain. The team originally planned to play Robert Morris Saturday without Achara, a preseason second team All-Atlantic 10 selection, but he suited up and played 20 minutes, scoring six points and fighting for five rebounds.
