Illinois: Randle Plays Through Pain

Randle Plays Through Pain: Illinois sophomore forward Brian Randle missed Sunday’s blowout against Coppin State, but he returned for last night’s blowout against Missouri. Randle sprained his ankle last week, forcing him to sit out the match Sunday. And in his return last night, Randle reinjured the ankle early in the game. He didn’t take a seat on the bench, however, and finished with 13 points and six rebounds in a solid effort against the Tigers. Also in Illini injury news, freshman point guard Chester Frazier is clear to play whenever coach Bruce Weber needs him to. Frazier’s recovery from a torn quadriceps has been much quicker than doctors anticipated. He was originally slated to miss four to eight weeks, but he’s ready to play after only three weeks.
