Wildcat Has Emergency Surgery: Northwestern senior guard Mohamed Hachad had an emergency appendectomy last week and is out indefinitlely while he recovers from the surgery. Northwestern didn’t miss Hachad yesterday as the Wildcats started 2006 with a dominating 82-47 win against Northern Colorado. That’s 13 more points than they’ve scored in any other game this season. Hachad is a major contributor, averaging 9.8 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. His point total is good for second best on the Wildcats.
