Only Foot Injury Slows Rush: Grambling senior guard Brion Rush is one of the NCAA’s most prolific scorers, averaging 25.8 points per game. Saddled in the unpublicized SWAC, Rush does not get due credit for scoring at will, in addition to averaging seven rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.3 steals per game and shooting 83 percent from the free-throw line. His statistics are gaudy, but his foot is not gimpy. Rush will likely miss the remainder of the season with a foot injury, which significantly damages the Tigers’ push to contend for the SWAC title.
