Northeast Conference Tournament: No. 3 Monmouth will meet No. 1 Fairleigh Dickinson in the Northeast Conference Championship Wednesday after the Hawks defeated No. 2 Central Connecticut State 62-48. The Hawks forced the Blue Devils to shoot 29 three-pointers, but Central Connecticut State made only six of them. The Blue Devils shot less than 27 percent from the field for the game. Senior guard Chris Kenny sparked enough offense with 19 points to guide the Hawks to the upset, and junior center John Bunch had an excellent game with 10 points and eight rebounds off the bench.

In the other Northeast Conference Tournament semifinal, Fairleigh Dickinson beat No. 5 Robert Morris 71-55. The Knights got balanced scoring from its starters as four players reached double figures, led by senior guard Chad Timberlake, who posted a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Junior center Andrea Crosariol was a force in the paint with 16 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks.
