Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championship: No. 2 Iona ended the run of No. 5 St. Peter’s with an 80-61 blowout in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championship game. With 23 points from senior guard Steve Burtt and a double-double from senior forward Kiril Wachsmann, the Gaels claimed the MAAC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. They also ended the outstanding career of senior guard Keydren Clark, who finished with 25 points. Clark passed the 3,000-point mark during the conference tournament.
