Vanderbilt: Commodore Collapses

Commodore Collapses: Vanderbilt freshman forward Davis Nwankwo collapsed during practice yesterday and was taken to a nearby hospital. School officials said the hospital treated and released Nwankwo, who is in stable condition. Although he seems fine now, he is unlikely to play in the Commodores’ first-round game against Auburn in the SEC Tournament. Nwankwo’s playing time has increased in recent weeks, but he’s still a reserve with minimal statistical impact, averaging 0.5 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. [3/07/06]
