Mountain West Conference Tournament: No. 8 Colorado State beat No. 9 TCU 64-60 in the opening round of the Mountain West Conference Tournament, earning a Thursday date with No. 1 San Diego State. Sophomore forward Jason Smith, held scoreless for most of the game, exploded in the last 10 minutes to help the Rams fend off the upset-minded Horned Frogs.
