Collins Quits at Hampton: Hampton coach Bobby Collins resigned yesterday, ending a four-year run with the Pirates. Collins compiled a 65-57 record in those four years, including the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference championship this season and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament play-in game. The Pirates lost to Monmouth 71-49 in that game. Collins did not specify why he’s resigning at this time. [3/17/06]
