Roadrunners Cancel Carter: Texas – San Antonio officials canned the school’s all-time leader in coaching victories by firing Tim Carter. With a record of 160-152 in 11 seasons, Carter had compiled the most wins of any Roadrunner coach. He led the team to the NCAA Tournament in 1999 and 2004. But the team struggled recently, finishing 11-17 this season and 15-13 last season. The school will reassign Carter within the athletic department. [3/21/06]
