Boston College Loss Ensured Smith’s Streak: Boston College senior forward Craig Smith never missed a game because of an injury during his four-year career with the Eagles. But if the Eagles had defeated Villanova in the Sweet 16, that streak likely would have ended. Smith needs to have surgery on his left wrist because he tore a ligament in overtime against the Wildcats in a 60-59 loss. Smith finished his career at Boston College as the school’s all-time leading rebounder with 1,114 rebounds and the second leading scorer with 2,349 points. [3/30/06]
