Gay Makes It Official: Connecticut sophomore forward Rudy Gay announced Monday that he will leave the Huskies to enter the NBA Draft. Gay has been one of the most anticipated early entrants this year as most scouts project him to be a top lottery pick. Entering the season, many experts pegged Gay as the No. 1 overall pick. Despite averaging 15.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, Gay demonstrated a propensity for disappearing for stretches during games, a concern that could cost him a top spot in the draft. Word from Storrs is that junior point guard Marcus Williams will follow Gay into the draft later this week. [4/18/06]
