Oklahoma State: Sutton Makes Retirement Official

Sutton Makes Retirement Official: Oklahoma State coach Eddie Sutton officially announced that he is retiring, ending a career in which he won 798 games. Sutton appeared close to retirement a few months ago when he stepped down from his position to enter an alcohol rehab program. He was arrested and charged with drunken driving after he slammed his vehicle into the back of another person’s car Feb. 10. His blood alcohol content level was 0.22, according to police reports. Sutton’s son, Sean Sutton, will become the official head coach after serving as interim coach since February. Sutton has led Oklahoma State for the past 16 years, winning 351 games with the Cowboys.
