Powe Likes His Chances: California sophomore forward Leon Powe will remain in the NBA Draft and hire an agent, he announced. The decision indicates that a team or two would like to draft him in the first round. Scouts consider Powe to be a mid to late first-round prospect. Powe has had a history of injuries, so a guaranteed contract, which all first-round picks receive, would be too enticing to pass up. Powe averaged 20.5 points and 10.1 rebounds per game last season for the Golden Bears. [5/24/06]
