Williams Hopes Cincy Launches His Career: Former Texas sophomore forward Mike Williams will land at Cincinnati. The transfer is part of the Texas diaspora in which six of the team’s top seven scorers may not return because of graduation, the NBA Draft or transfers. Williams struggled at times but has the potential to be a dominant post player, especially on defense. He averaged 2.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game last season as a reserve to LaMarcus Aldridge and company. [5/24/06]
