Buckeye Guard Bolts Ohio State: Ohio State junior backup guard Sylvester Mayes will not return for his senior season with the Buckeyes. Mayes has withdrawn from classes but did not indicate if he planned to transfer to another program. He played at Ohio State for one season after transferring from Redlands Community College in Oklahoma. He averaged 4.2 points in 14.7 minutes per game. [5/24/06]
