Tiger Williams Won’t Come Back: Memphis freshman forward Shawne Williams will remain in the NBA Draft this season and hire an agent, ending any hopes of a return to Memphis for Tigers fans. Williams has received word that he is a likely first-round pick, which would mean he’d receive a guaranteed three-year contract from some team. He acknowledged he has more to learn about basketball but feels that he can learn more quickly at the professional level. Williams averaged 13.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in one season at Memphis. [5/25/06]
