Bulldog Guard Dies in Car Accident: Georgia rising junior guard Kevin Brophy died this past week in a car accident. He was traveling to his adopted family in Savannah after a basketball session in Athens when a severe thunderstorm created dangerous conditions. Brophy collided with an oncoming car, and medical professionals proclaimed him dead at the scene. Brophy lives with a Savannah family because he is from Australia, where his parents reside. A former walk-on, Brophy averaged 0.9 points per game last season. [7/22/06]
