Wichita State Collects Major Foes: Ironically, one of the spoils for successful mid-major programs is a much tougher schedule. Wichita State’s run to the Sweet 16 in last season’s NCAA Tournament has convinced Syracuse and LSU to add the Shockers to their schedules for this season. That gives Wichita State the opportunity to beat some elite programs and firmly establish itself on the level of Creighton and Gonzaga. [8/15/06]
