Akognon to Transfer to Cal State Fullerton: Guard Josh Akognon, Washington State’s leading scorer from last season at 10.3 points per game, will transfer to Cal State Fullerton for the 2006 fall semester. After sitting out the 2006-07 season, Akognon will have two years of eligibility remaining. The Petaluma, Calif., native had 27 points at Washington and 25 points at UCLA last season for a Cougar offense that only averaged 58 points per game. [9/02/06]
