Gunman Opens Fire at Duquesne Players: A school dance-turned-tragedy has left five Duquesne players shot, including one in critical condition and another in serious condition. When the gunman had caused some trouble at the dance, the players tried to squash the problems. But the gunman, who school officials said is not a student, returned later with other non-students and found the players outside a dormitory. The players tried to reason with the man and his cohorts, but the man opened fire, critically injuring Sam Ashaolu and seriously injuring Stuard Balbonado. He also shot fellow transfers Kojo Mensah and Shawn James and returning player Aaron Jackson. Police are searching for the gunman and his accomplices and have increased security on Duquesne’s campus.
