Former UC Irvine Coach Bill Mulligan Honored: Bill Mulligan, the coach of UC Irvine from 1980-1991, was honored at a dinner on the UC Irvine campus for his contributions to basketball throughout the Southern California area. Besides coaching at Irvine, Mulligan led teams at Long Beach Poly High, Riverside City College and served as an assistant coach at USC. In his 11 years at UC Irvine, Mulligan directed the Anteaters to 163 victories including wins over national powers UCLA and UNLV. [9/17/06]
