Harricks’ Lawsuit Dismissed: The final claim in a two-year-old defamation suit filed by former Georgia basketball coach Jim Harrick and his son Jim Jr. have been dismissed. The two sued in February 2004 after being forced out of their jobs because of an investigation of academic fraud in a course that the junior Harrick taught, which included many basketball players. The Harricks claimed they were defamed by the university president, athletic director and others associated with the university. [9/23/06]
